HELP & WORKFLOWS

Your credentialing
workflow, explained.

From your first credential template to delivery and verification.

How do I issue my first credentials?

Create a Credential Template in your workspace. Add the credential details, choose a published or saved design, and configure delivery and verification. Open Recipients, add or import people, select the recipients, and choose Issue credentials. Select your credential template to go directly to review.

What is the difference between a design and a credential template?

Design Templates stores the visual layout: text, images, fields, shapes, and branding. A Credential Template combines a design with reusable credential details and issuance settings. Recipients are managed separately and applied when you issue.

Which credential types can I design?

The design library supports certificates, badges, transcripts, training records, assessments, and letters. Choose a credential type, then filter by format and category. A design format does not imply accreditation or compliance with an external credential standard.

How do recipients and CSV imports work?

Add recipients individually or import a CSV with name and email columns. Existing email addresses are deduplicated. Select up to 20 recipients for a browser issuance batch. The recipient library can be searched, filtered by email status, and archived.

How do email templates and delivery work?

Email Templates stores reusable messages and visual email designs. Choose a template in the credential configuration and confirm email delivery during issuance. Emails shows queued, accepted, delivered, bounced, and failed outcomes. Resends use your plan allowance. Accepted is not confirmation of delivery.

What does Suppressed mean?

Email delivery to that address has been blocked, for example after a bounce or complaint. Review the address and delivery history before trying again. A suppressed address is not an indication of the recipient’s credential status.

How does public verification work?

Enable verification and choose the public fields in the credential settings. Issuance publishes a record at a unique link, which may be linked from a QR code. Verification Records manages public fields, expiration, and permanent revocation. Certinator records issuer-submitted information; it does not independently validate qualifications or accredit programs.

Are Issued Credentials and Verification Records different?

Issued Credentials lists issuance history, including download-only credentials. Verification Records contains the public verification records you chose to publish. Archiving a verification record hides it from the active workspace list; it does not revoke or unpublish the record.

Where do I manage my logo, signature, and uploaded assets?

Save your default logo and signature in Settings. Insert them as image fields in the editor, or upload your own assets. The upload library retains saved uploads for use in other designs and lets you remove assets from the library.

What can I customize in the editor?

Use text controls, images, shapes, masks, outlines, transparent fills, opacity, and blur. Select an element to see controls for its type. Preview the design with sample recipient values before saving.

How does archiving work?

Use Active and Archived tabs in supported libraries. Restore an archived item to use it again. Archiving organizes your private workspace; it does not cancel queued email, revoke a credential, or delete a PDF someone already downloaded.

Where are credential files stored?

Browser-generated files must be downloaded and retained by you. Recipient records and saved templates are stored in your account. Choosing email delivery uploads generated PDFs temporarily. Public verification stores the fields you publish. See the privacy and data-security pages for details.

What are the plan limits?

Pricing lists the current credential generation, email, API, design, and verification allowances. Settings → Usage shows your account usage. Public verification registration uses an overall plan limit; email sends can have monthly and daily limits.

Can I connect an API or automation?

Supported plans include REST API and MCP access. Create scoped API keys in Settings and follow the Developers guide. API and browser generation have separate allowances where specified by your plan.

Can I try a standalone certificate tool?

Yes. The public certificate maker and design tool remain available for one-off work. The signed-in workspace provides reusable credential configurations, recipients, issuance records, delivery tracking, and verification management.
