1. Who these terms cover

These terms govern Certinator’s website, certificate tools, workspace, API and MCP integration. The service is provided by Emerjoe Rosas, trading as Certinator, based in Central Luzon, Philippines ("Certinator", "we", "us"). Our brand domain is certinator.com. Contact support@certinator.com for service, billing and legal matters.

By accepting these terms when creating an account or placing an order, or otherwise expressly agreeing to them, you enter an agreement with us. If you act for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not create an account, place an order or use the hosted service. A separately agreed written service order governs any expressly conflicting commercial commitments.

2. Your account and authority

Use accurate account information and keep access to your email, sessions and API keys secure. You must have authority to act for any organization you represent. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share a key beyond its intended users; assign only the permissions your integration needs.

3. Your content and certificates

You retain your rights in uploaded artwork, recipient data and certificate content. You grant only the permissions needed to process, store and deliver that content as you instruct. You must have the necessary rights to use logos, signatures and other materials and a lawful basis for processing recipient information.

You are responsible for checking names, achievements, dates, expiration and issuer details before generation or publication. A certificate and its verification record reflect information submitted by an account; they are not independent accreditation, proof of identity, or authentication of a qualification.

4. Public verification is a publication

Generating a private PDF and issuing a public verification record are different actions. Issuance publishes the submitted certificate information at a unique public URL. Anyone with the link or QR code may access it and share it. Do not publish information you are not authorized to disclose.

Issued records cannot be edited through the normal workflow. Revocation is permanent and does not remove copies already downloaded or shared. Privacy and legal removal requests are assessed separately; technical immutability does not override applicable data protection rights.

Institution profiles and company domain checks

Institution profiles contain information supplied by their account owner. Publishing a profile, logo or aggregate counts is optional and requires the owner to select those options and save. Publish only information and branding you are authorized to disclose. Unpublishing removes the profile from the active public page; it cannot recall screenshots, search-engine caches or third-party copies.

Company email confirmed means that the account completed a code challenge for a mailbox at the displayed domain. Domain control verified means that the account completed a DNS TXT challenge at that domain. These are limited technical checks at a particular time, expire after 90 days, and do not provide continuous monitoring or confirm legal identity, company registration, the requester's authority, accreditation, credential quality, or endorsement by Certinator. These features are not a KYC, KYB, anti-money-laundering, or regulatory due-diligence service.

A requester must confirm authorization to perform a check, but that confirmation is not independent evidence of authority. Do not rely on a badge or aggregate count as the sole basis for hiring, admission, licensing, payment or other significant decisions. Where these matters are relevant, independently contact the organization and the applicable accrediting or registration body. To report impersonation, inaccurate profiles or misuse of branding, contact support@certinator.com with the profile URL and relevant non-sensitive details. We review reports and may restrict a disputed profile or check where appropriate; a report is not itself proof of wrongdoing.

5. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and respect other people’s rights.

  • Do not create fraudulent credentials, impersonate an issuer, or forge a signature.
  • Do not upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, bypass quotas, or disrupt the service.
  • Do not submit health data, special-category data under the GDPR, government identifiers, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information. Where applicable law treats education or achievement details as sensitive, obtain the required consent or other lawful authority before submitting them.
  • Do not use the service as your only archive or as a safety-critical decision system.

Monthly certificates and API credits

Plans include separate monthly allowances for certificates generated in the web editor and API credits for hosted PDF generation. One recipient PDF generated in the web editor counts as one certificate. 1 API credit = 1 certificate generated through the API or MCP. A batch consumes one certificate or API credit per recipient, rather than one per request. Downloadable PDF previews count; downloading an already generated file again does not count again. Non-generation API operations do not consume API credits, although request limits still apply.

The Free plan includes 100 certificates per calendar month, 5 saved custom templates, access to Free templates and a small Made with Certinator watermark. It includes no API credits, API access or MCP access. Hobby is USD $10 per month and includes 500 web-editor certificates and 100 API credits per month. Pro is USD $25 per month and includes 3,000 web-editor certificates and 1,000 API credits per month. Business is USD $50 per month and includes 10,000 web-editor certificates and 5,000 API credits per month. Applicable taxes are additional. The plan shown at checkout identifies the allowances applicable to your subscription.

Monthly allowances reset at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month, independently of the subscription renewal date. Unused certificates and API credits do not roll over and have no cash value. A mid-month purchase receives the monthly allowance less any usage already recorded for that account during that month; changing plans does not reset usage. Background jobs reserve API credits when accepted, and direct rendering counts when generation starts. Failed processing may still consume reserved credits. Daily and concurrent-generation limits apply. Generation stops at the included limit; we do not charge automatic overage fees. Business is a single-account plan and does not include additional seats or shared workspaces.

6. Availability, limits and changes

Beta features and quotas may change. We may restrict abusive requests or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance or protection of the service. Where practical, we will explain the restriction and provide a contact for review.

The free beta has no contractual uptime guarantee or service credits. Download your outputs promptly and retain your own copies. Planned paid services, support promises or increased quotas apply only when actually offered and accepted.

7. Responsibility and mandatory protections

The beta is supplied on an as-available basis, to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every client, or that certificates meet a particular regulator’s requirements. You remain responsible for your content and how you rely on outputs.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Subject to those protections, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of anticipated profits or loss caused by the other party’s failure to protect its own credentials or retain available outputs. This does not remove our responsibilities under applicable data protection law.

8. Ending use, disputes and updates

You may stop using the service and revoke your API keys at any time. Contact support for account closure and data requests. Public records, legal retention duties and existing third-party copies may require separate handling, as described in the privacy policy.

Philippine law governs this agreement, without overriding mandatory protections in your country of residence. Contact support@certinator.com first to seek a resolution. You retain any right to bring a claim before a competent court or consumer authority under mandatory law. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice by account email of material contractual changes, except changes required sooner by law or urgent security needs. Changes apply prospectively and require renewed agreement where the law requires it.

9. Paid plans, billing and cancellation

The current public service is free beta; no paid subscription begins simply by creating an account. If and when paid plans are offered, the checkout will show the price, currency, billing interval, included limits and applicable taxes before you confirm payment. We will not charge for a paid plan without your order.

For orders completed through Dodo Payments, Dodo Payments acts as merchant of record and reseller and handles payment, receipts and applicable transaction taxes under its buyer terms. Certinator supplies the product and product support.

A recurring subscription renews for the interval shown at checkout until cancelled. Cancel through the order’s customer portal or contact support before the next renewal. Cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the paid period unless a refund or lawful suspension ends it earlier. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of a price increase; it applies from a subsequent renewal and you may cancel before it takes effect.

Our refund and cancellation policy forms part of these terms. Where EU or UK withdrawal rights apply, we do not assume they have been waived by payment alone. Any request for early performance and any legally effective loss of a withdrawal right must be presented separately at checkout as required by law.
